Choose the work to invoice

  1. 1

    Start a tracked-work invoice

Open Invoices, choose New invoice, then select the option for tracked time and expenses.

    Open this page
  2. 2

    Choose a client and projects

Select one client and one or more of that client's projects.

  3. 3

    Choose time

Include all eligible hours, a date range, or no time. Group lines by task, person, project, or detailed entry.

  4. 4

    Choose expenses

Include all eligible expenses or none, then group them by category, person, project, or detailed entry.

  5. 5

    Create the draft

Review the preview and create the invoice. The selected entries are linked to the draft so another invoice cannot select them.

Only eligible work appears

Tracked-work invoicing includes uninvoiced, billable activity from Time & Materials projects. A running timer is never included.

Review before sending

Open the draft editor to verify dates, recipient-facing text, line grouping, prices, discount, and tax. Creating the draft does not email the client.
