Build the draft

  1. 1

    Choose Free-form invoice

Start a new invoice and choose the free-form option.

    Open this page
  2. 2

    Choose the client

Set the client and invoice currency, then enter the issue and due dates.

  3. 3

    Add invoice details

Add an optional purchase order number, subject, notes, and line items.

  4. 4

    Price the work

For each line, choose an item type and enter a description, quantity, and unit price. Reorder or remove lines as needed.

  5. 5

    Apply adjustments

Add an invoice-wide discount and one tax rate when required, then save the draft.

Good to know

A second tax is not available. Use the single invoice-wide tax field and describe any additional adjustment in a separate line when appropriate for your accounting process.

Draft behavior

You can return to a draft and edit its content before sending. Recurring schedules, invoice duplication, and invoice deletion are not available in the current invoice workspace.
